We had a fantastic stay with our family at this lovely hotel. The location was perfect for our golfing trip and we enjoyed exploring the nearby town and abbey. The rooms were clean and pleasant, and the living room and kitchen were spacious. The large garden was great for the children to play in, and we also appreciated the plentiful parking. The hosts were helpful and communication was excellent. We particularly liked the convenience of the key being in a box, allowing us flexibility with our arrival time.
The entrance to the hotel's driveway was a bit narrow, making it slightly challenging to maneuver during peak times.

The cottage was spacious and comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. It was also very clean and the beds were comfortable. the kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary appliances and utensils, which made cooking meals easy. the location was great as it was close to both York and Selby, allowing for easy exploration of the surrounding areas.
There were a few areas that could have been improved upon. there were no towels provided upon arrival, which was inconvenient after a long bike ride.

The house itself was fantastic, spacious and homely. We were impressed with the amenities provided, from the well-equipped kitchen to the comfortable living room. It felt like a real home away from home. Communication with the host was easy and they even had the heating on before we arrived. a wonderful experience!
While our stay was enjoyable, there were a few shortcomings. The lack of mirrors in the house was a bit inconvenient, especially when getting ready for a special event.

We had a fantastic stay at Firtrees in Selby. The hotel was clean, spacious, and in a convenient location for our activities. The rear garden was particularly marvelous, providing plenty of space for the children to play. We also loved the front drive with ample parking space for our cars. Despite a few minor issues, like a noisy water pump and a lack of mirrors, these did not affect our overall enjoyment. We would happily stay here again in the future. I highly recommend this hotel for a family getaway or weekend trip.
